Terms of Service

Box POS · Effective August 18, 2026

By installing or using Box POS software (“Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service description

Box POS provides point-of-sale software including Cashier Lite (paid subscription via Google Play), Waiter companion apps (free, require a licensed Cashier on the same LAN), and optional cloud sync.

2. Accounts & subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically through Google Play unless cancelled.
Plan features and device limits are described in-app and may change with notice.
Free trials are limited to one per device where enforced by our licensing system.
Refunds follow Google Play policies.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, tamper with, or bypass licensing or security controls.
Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to process stolen payment instruments.
Share credentials or LAN tokens in ways that expose your business data.
Overload or disrupt our infrastructure.

4. Your data

You retain ownership of business data you enter. You grant us a license to host and process that data solely to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy.

5. Waiter companions

Waiter apps connect to your licensed Cashier over your local network. Companion device limits depend on your subscription plan. Waiter apps are not sold separately.

6. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BOX POS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend access for violation of these Terms or non-payment. Upon termination, local data may remain on your device; cloud data may be deleted per your account actions and retention policies.

9. Changes

We may modify these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local consumer law applies where you reside.
